Technical Egypt

Applications

Technical Egypt has used several standard applications in portable water projects, sanitary drainage projects, domestic water supply projects in new cities such as Burg El- Arab, El-Obour, Sadat City and El Menia City, as well as huge agricultural projects among others, these application ranges from the Water supply to sewage and environmental projects, these applications are:

Domestic Water Supply

Domestic water supply applications using products such as submersible pumps, jet pumps, multistage centrifugal pumps and compact systems for water supply in homes, gardens and hobby applications.

Mainly used to provide habitants with hot and cold water, using pressured tanks connected to supply pumps, the pressurized tanks are partly filled with air behind a membrane which compensates for pressure variations during consumption and during supply pump starts and stops; this application is usually used in limited compensating capacity due to shortage in main supply lines

Waste water applications

Waste water applications are designed to collect wastewater accumulated due to domestic or industrial use. Water carrying dissolved material and suspended solids go through high velocity treatment plant where pollutants are removed from the water and discharged back to the environment.  Pumps are used to transport the water into the treatment plant among several lift stations and 3 treatment stages to remove sludge, solid particles and chemical materials for reuse.

Industrial applications

Industrial applications for the transfer of water, cooling lubricants and other liquids in industrial and process systems as well as built-in components in OEM equipment (original equipment manufacturers). These applications fall under two categories:

Municipal sewage systems

Such Systems can either be sanitary sewage only, or sanitary sewage and storm water, designed with extra large pipes downstream to handle increased flows (called load) during the most extreme storms possible. Removing contaminants from waste water might include physical, chemical and biological by producing a waste stream that can be reused in the environment. Using a collection of septic tanks, bio filters or aerobic treatment systems transported through a network of pipes and pump stations to municipal treatment plants that include primary, secondary and tertiary treatment.

Heavy solids are separated from oil, grease and lighter solids in the primary treatment before subjecting it to the secondary treatment, where dissolved biological matter is removed using water borne micro organisms in a managed habitat and then using a separation process to discard these organisms prior passing through the tertiary treatment, where water is sometimes disinfected chemically or physically using microfiltration before discharging it back to the environment in agricultural or irrigation purposes.

Treatment plants

Municipal water supplies are treated by public or private water utilities to make the water potable (safe to drink) and palatable (aesthetically pleasing) and to insure an adequate supply of water to meet the needs of the community at a reasonable cost, a substantial amount of treatment may be required even if the water is not intended for human consumption. Using well pumps, water is pumped to a central treatment facility then pumped under pressure into a distribution system, which typically consists of a network of water mains interconnected with reservoirs.
Through the water withdrawal, the water is screened through steel bars to prevent large objects from entering the facility. Finer screens are sometimes employed to remove medium sized objects before pre treating it in a pre-sedimentation basin to allow time for sand and larger silt particles to settle out. A sequence of treatments including coagulation using chemicals like aluminum salts, flocculation, sedimentation, and filtration Microorganisms are disinfected prior human consumption. Using purpose-built submersible pumps for remedial pumping of contaminated ground water and for sampling for water quality analysis.

Dosing and disinfection systems

Technical Egypt offers a wide range of dosing pumps to be used in several systems such as chemical treatment and conditioning of water, filtering, membrane filtering, cooling systems, chemical dosing, re-use of water, cooling systems, chemical dosing, and re-use of water. Using stepper motor technology helps cover a large scale with high dosing performance and simple connection to existing control systems, to achieve accurate and ideal dosing, along with monitoring to avoid any possible failures such as air locking, overpressure, valve failures or defective pressure or suction lines.
This application is ideal for water supply and waste water disposal, chemical and process engineering, food and beverage industry as well as heating and cooling technology. Being easy to install and operate, economically efficient and process optimized when adding liquids, these dosing and disinfectant application work in a precise and controlled manner.

Hot water circulation in central and district heating systems

Using circulator pumps for hot water circulation purposes in central and district heating systems and in domestic hot water service systems as well as circulation of cold water and other liquids in cooling and air conditioning systems is applicable in domestic, commercial and industrial use.
Technical Egypt provides Pumps for district heating systems Pumps which are suitable for distributing heat generated in a centralized location for residential and commercial heating requirements, usually obtained by burning fossil fuels as well as central solar and boiler stations. District heating systems provide higher efficiency and less pollution as well as lower costs.
After generating heat, it is distributed through a network of insulated pipes usually installed underground along with heat storage to even out peak load demands. District heating systems are more energy efficient and fit for large populations as well as environmentally friendly. Yet it is not fit for short term solutions.
Technical Egypt also provides Pumps for central heating systems which are used for space heating in building interiors whether it was single or multiple rooms, it is either achieved by setting a mechanical room where fossil fuel combustion is usually applied to generate heat through a furnace or a boiler, using water circulation pumps as a distribution system and radiators to pass the heat into rooms. The heated water can be used through a sealed system to supply taps and appliances. Heat pumps can be used to air condition the buildings, this system are ideally used for small range such as single or dual buildings

Pressure boosting and liquid transfer

Technical Egypt provides pressure boosting applications in residential, commercial, and light industrial applications, consisting of pump, motor and an electronic controller, these applications are vital in most of water and sewage systems in order to transfer liquids and lift water from below ground level. Using vertical and horizontal centrifugal pumps and booster systems for liquid transfer and boosting of hot and cold water for e.g. irrigation, golf courses.

Ground Water Supply

Ground water supply applications are much more common due to low maintenance costs and extended equipment life since they aren’t exposed to the environment. Using ground water pumps to draw water from well source and into a piping system. The actual components of the ground-water pump reside underground and out of sight. Besides central heating and cooling plans, this system can be used as a pre-heating option for domestic water supplies, as well as a heat recovery and dehumidification option within domestic and industrial environments.
